Bill Ritchie

Bill Ritchie brings to Sterling Pointe Bill Ritchie Training Stable Farm over 38 years of professional show and training experience with his "Bill Ritchie Training Stable" . Bill has been professionally training and showing horses since 1970. He began showing Quarter Horses nationally and by the 1980's had expanded to include training and showing Appaloosa's and Paints on the NEHC/MHC/USEF rated circuits.

Conditioning and Training Horses for the Conformation division has always been a passion of Bill's along with showing in Western Pleasure and Huntseat Pleasure and has brought home many High Point awards to his well respected

Bill has retired the following NEHC High Point all around awards:

  • Adobe Bars High Point Quarter Horse award twice with two notably great horses "Oil Business" and "Luv-Express"
  • The Luv-Express High Point Challenge Trophy for Quarter Horse, with
    "Special Privileges".
  • The Dusty J Farm High Point Appaloosa award with Prince Rupert Bay".

    Bill consistently wins top awards in the following divisions:
  • Appaloosa
  • Quarter Horse
  • Pinto
  • Color Breed
  • Open Horse, Colts and Fillies

  • Highlights of Bills career:
  • * Showing at the Quarter Horse Congress, the worlds largest horse show.
  • * Judging from Virginia to Canada and in the Northeast at Deerfield Fair, Lancaster Fair, and Hopkinton Fair.
  • * Creating the Color Breed division and having it excepted as a pointed division.
  • * Winning NEHC's High Point Year End award Open Horse Colts and Fillies with his 4 month old "Zara" the first Friesian to win this award.
  • * Winning the 1999 National High Point Friesian competing the Friesian champion "Alert".
  • * Training many great horses and working with many wonderful students, brining them to their full potential.

Bill is a life member of New England Horsemans Council and South Shore Horsemens council. He also sits on the board of directors for the South Shore Horsemens Council and the Mass Horsemans Council and is an NEHC registered Judge

Today he is one of the most sought after regional judges.

Roger Flood

Roger has been training horses professionally for over 10 years, specializing in Appaloosa, Roger showing in handPalomino, Morgan and Saddlebreds at the local, New England, and Regional level.

Currently training his students with Saddlebreds to many Championship wins at such shows as Connecticut Summer Classic, Deerfield Fair, and Octoberfest. Successes include:

  • 1st and Grand Champion in Pleasure Equation
  • Grand Champion in Country Pleasure
  • 2nd and Reserve Champion in the Junior Exhibitor Show Pleasure division

Roger has successfully shown Morgans on the Regional circuits in Park, English Pleasure, Halter and Huntseat and Friesians, Pintos, Half Arabians on the New England Horsemans Council(NEHC) circuit.

Roger Flood His Pinto," Black Eyed Susan" won 4 NEHC titles in 2002 in Color Breed, Pleasure, Pinto Pleasure and their respective halter classes.

Roger also trains Lead Line and Walk Trot students who have won numerous local and New England year end titles. He incorporates his knowledge of Halter, Driving, Equation, and Pleasure into his structured lesson program to suite each individual students goals.
